🌊 Lifeguard Certification & Recertification

Become a certified lifeguard or renew your credentials with our American Red Cross Lifeguard Training at the Geary Family YMCA!

🆕 Lifeguard Certification Course

Dates: May 23–25
Cost: $200
Includes:

  • CPR & AED Certification

  • Basic First Aid

  • Lifeguarding Techniques & Rescue Skills

  • Online coursework (approx. 8 hours) + 21 hours of in-person training

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 15 years old by the last day of the course

  • Must complete a prerequisite swim test and submit e-learning certificate at the first session

If you choose employment with the Geary Family YMCA, we’ll reimburse your certification cost after 6 months of consecutive employment!

🔁 Lifeguard Recertification Course

Dates: May 23–24
Cost: $100

Includes:

  • Skills review and renewal in CPR, first aid, and water rescue

  • Online component must be completed prior to class

Requirements:

  • Current or recently expired (within 30 days) Red Cross Lifeguard certification

  • Bring certification card, swim attire, towel, and CPR mask (if available)
