The Geary Family YMCA offers members to sign up for the first 2 fitness classes for FREE!

Fusion Dance Toning 

Join the dance party! This is a unique floor dance class. Music with dance steps that create an exciting, dynamic, fun class. You will feel the music and the movements without knowing you’re working out. Class includes dance and toning.

Time:  Monday & Wednesday 5:30-6:15pm
Fee: Y Member $15.00  Non-member $45.00

H.I.I.T (High Intensity Interval Training) 

Form of exercise alternating short periods of intense exercise with less intense recovery period. H.I.I.T. will combine strength and cardio in an ever changing variety. Studies show H.I.I.T. improves athletic capacity, conditioning and increases metabolism.

Time:  Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 -10:00 am or Tuesday & Thursday 6:15 – 7:00pm

ABS Plus

This is always a popular class that is specifically for those bumps, bulges, and love handles we all hate. We’ll run you through a series of exercises that target those areas.
Time: Monday & Wednesday 10:00 – 10:30am

Cardio Tone 

This is a 45 minute class which aims to jump start your metabolism for the day and tone your whole body. The session begins with cardio short segments of cardio exercises with breaks in-between. The class then transitions into toning of the arms, core & legs for a total body cardio tone experience.

Ultimate Combo

Bored with the same old aerobic routine? This class will include aerobics, strengthening and extra abdominal leg work. Each class will be different with combination of step, floor, aerobics, kickboxing and strengthening with weights.

*Yoga – Annex Building, 125 West North Street

This classical yoga systematically works the entire body, stretching muscles, building foundational strength, detoxing internal organs, stimulating the gladular systems, and challenging the cardiovascular system. This is a 45 minute class it is appropriate for beginners and more experienced students alike.
Time: Monday 7:00 – 8:00pm (beginners to medium)

Class size is limited.  This class provides the perfect combination of simple, athletic exercise with an environment that enables participants to achieve a total body workout at their own level.

*Cardio Drumming Class

Burn calories in a fun way! Cardio fitness drumming is a chance for you to express yourself, release stress and aggression, sweat, dance, sing and enjoy the sense of community. The best reason to drum is that anyone can do it…there is no wrong or right way.

*Youth Strength Training Class

This class is for boys & girls grades 6th, 7th & 8th. This class will teach basic lifting skills to allow the kids to use the free weight room. All Youth interested must take this class in order to use the free weight room.

*Family/Kid Fit

This family friendly kids’ fitness class will be available to kids grades 1st & up. You can come as a family or kids can come on their own. We’re going to work up sweat, build muscle & have fun! This program follows registration and session dates.

Additional Class Offerings

Senior Fitness – For Y Members Only

This class will focus on every ability level. Exercise can either be done in the standing position, holding on the back of a chair for balance, or sitting in a chair.  The class will be a total body workout that will include aerobics, strength training, balance & stretching.

Time:  Monday & Wednesday 10:30am – 11:15am

Tai Chi

This is a low impact workout for people of all ages, weight and fitness level. It tones legs, hips and core muscles while improving coordination. Relax your muscles and your mind with Tai Chi, a healthy mix of meditation and graceful movements. Tai can decrease stress, boost mood and ease symptoms of many health conditions.
Time: Tuesday 3:30 – 4:30pm
Fee: Y members FREE – Non-members $20.00
