Following is a list information pertaining to your membership at the Geary Family YMCA:
Identification:
I.D. cards will be issued to all annual members. These cards are for your use only and are not to be shared. Please bring them with you each time you use the facilities, even if you do not want a locker.
Facility Usage: (by age and availability)
Pre-school to Age 6
Must always be accompanied by an adult in the building with the exception of staffed programs such as swim lessons, fundays, and youth sports. Even then, we courage parents to remain nearby.
Age 7 to 5th Grade
Can use the facilities accompanied by an adult at any time. Monday through Friday they can come for open member gym from 3:00pm - 8:00pm unaccompanied by an adult. The areas available will depend on activities for that day.
Middle School (Grades 6-8)
Can use the facilities accompanied by an adult at any time. The areas available will depend on activities for that day. During Monday through Friday, they can come for open member gym from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.
High School Students
Can use the facilities at any time. Areas available will depend on activities for the day.
Guest Policy:
During our peak months (September - March), we have RESTRICTED TIMES for guests at the Geary Family YMCA. Monday through Thursday there are no guests permitted after 5:00pm. This allows more quipment use and gym space for our regular members. At all other times, members may bring guests for the following fees:
0-11 years $1.00
12-17 years $4.00
18 and Over $5.00
Family $15.00
Refund Policy:
We do not refund YMCA memberships. Class refunds are as follows:
90% - If cancelled prior to the 1st class
50% - If cancellation occurs after the 1st class
No refunds will be given after the 2nd class.
All refunds will be in the form of class credits.
Emergency Medical Attention:
If at any time you are using any YMCA facility or are involved in a YMCA program and a staff member feels there may be cause for medical attention beyond which we can administer, we will summon the EMS. This will be done without your approval. The YMCA staff are not medically trained and are not to assume responsibility to diagnose any illness/injury. They will act using their best judgment for the situation at hand.
Cell Phone Usage:
The usage of cell phones in the YMCA is limited to the main lobby. This is for the privacy of others who may be working out.
