The Wonderland Enrichment Center is a Step Up to Quality Two-Star Center.  Step Up to Quality is a voluntary, quality rating system for early care and education programs.  Programs can earn a 1-2-or 3-star rating by meeting the quality benchmarks for the State of Ohio.

Step Up to Quality means:

• Fewer children per classroom
• Smaller group sizes
• More trained teachers
• A better early education experience for your child

Applications are now being accepted for the 2009 summer and 2009/2010 school year programs.  The summer program starts on June 1 and ends August 14.  The fall session starts August 24.  Wonderland childcare is open year round, Monday through Friday from 6:15 am to 5:45 pm. All ages of children are provided breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.  We are providers for Job and Family Services, the Early Learning Initiative, and Head Start services through a collaboration with WSOS, and participants in the USDA food program.

Infant/Toddler Classroom

Full time care for infants and toddlers, 6 weeks through 36 months is offered.  Our infant/toddler class enjoys a variety of activities to enhance the development of these little ones.  You may see them out around the neighborhood in their red “bye-bye buggy”, or enjoying a summer day on their playground in front of the YMCA.

Preschool Classroom

The preschool class, for ages 3 – 5 years, follows the Creative Curriculum that is based on an open classroom concept with space arranged into learning centers.  In these centers, the children choose activities that are meaningful to them, and make discoveries that add to their learning experience.  Daily outdoor time, and or gym time is included in the preschool program, as well as weekly swim lessons.

School Age Classroom

Kids’ Club is our program for children that have completed kindergarten through fifth grade.  The children will enjoy many activities, including arts, crafts, games, and science.  During the summer program the children will participate in outdoor activities, walking field trips and daily swims.
